From dentistry to UX: a clinical eye for clearer experiences.

01 Lessons from providing clinical care

I trained as a dentist and later completed a postgraduate degree in orthodontics. But somewhere along the way, I realised that the kind of help I wanted to offer extended beyond treatment plans and procedures.

Working as a clinician taught me to listen carefully, break unfamiliar information into simple terms, build trust and make precise decisions under pressure. It also made me realise how complexity can overwhelm when someone is already feeling uncertain or vulnerable.

02 My design lens

These experiences have shaped how I approach UX design. I pay close attention to cognitive load, information hierarchy and the moments when people hesitate or do not know what to do next.

I use research and thoughtful interaction design to turn complex information into clearer, more accessible experiences—without losing the context people need to make informed decisions.

03 Outside of work

I love to read, cook food from different cuisines, crochet, draw and paint when inspiration strikes. Singing and listening to music help me reset, while visiting and learning about antiques, engaging in photography, travel and movies keep me curious about how people across different walks of life live and express themselves.

Creating, whether it be a painting, a cover song, or a recipe, keeps me grounded and eternally curious. I’m a lifelong learner and apply that mindset to my design approach.
